(23rd August 1943\u201318th October 2004) bhushan ji art work Rabindranath Tagore once said, seed of the Oft-I tree, although small, carries all the qualities ofa tree, that is the only truth in nature. \u201c Such was our soft spoken father, Sh. About Bhushan Lal Ji<\/h3>

He was born on August 23, 1943, in Phagwara (Punjab). Being the eldest of their family of seven brothers and sisters, he used to help his father in his family business of framing. This intensified his passion for art. Hard working and religious, his inclination towards nature and God was significant in early stages Of his childhood.\n\nAfter completing his schooling in 1961 from Phagwara (Punjab), he pursued his interest in art and completed his Art and Craft teacher course in 1963 from Phagwara (Punjab)\u2019.\n\nHe completed his certificate course 3) with honors from The Royal Drawing Society, Bloomsbury (London)\n\nThis passion for art brought him to Delhi in 1966 where he joined College ofArt and graduated in Commercial Art in 1971. His work was appreciated and he wonmany prizes during the course.\n\nAfter his formal training in College OfArt, Delhi, he -chose teaching as a prvfession till the time he retired from his active service at the Women \u2018s Polytechnic (now Meerabai Polytechnic), New Delhi as a lecturer of Commercial Art.\n\nArt has a certain relationship to magic, or, to\u2022 express the idea in more fashionable terms, it is possible that our father, in the degree that he achieved, an his personality through the medium ofart. He did so by making contact with those fortes which Signuqtd\n\nFreud has called man\u2019s archaic heritage, and Carl Gustav Jung has called collective unconscious. In a world Of prevailing insecurity and inhumanity, our father came in contact with Buddhist monks in the valley ofManali, and was fascinated by their thought ofsp\u00e6ading peace across globe. This turned his artistic journey religious and he depicted Stupa (Monument ofpeace) in many of his paintings. He also extended support and cooperationfor the cause.\n\nHe was inspired by nature andnostofhi,spginfings are sim li ed landscapes. Our mother; who hails from Himachal became his instant inspiration. His frequent visit to her home town Manali made him even more in love with nature, which! can be seen in his paintings.\n\nHis last painting was that ofa \u201cStupa\u201d. He painted this for a Japanese (Dganisation (Nipponzan Myohoji). This.was visualization on how the \u201cStupa\u201d would look on completion. It was painted just before his trip to Manali where we lost him ig a road accident.\n\nHe loved painting landscapes and we stmngly believe that his spirit lives inter-mingled with elenients Ofever existing nature.\n\nWe are extremely thankful to AIFACSfor sponsoring this exhibition for letting ourfather\u2019s dream intQ reality,\n\nWe are also thankful_J0 Shri Jagdish Dey, Amitava Bhowmick, Ravi Nayyar, Rattan Razdan, Shifali Kaushik and Shine Misako for their sincere contribution in making this show a success.<\/p> <\/div>\n\n \t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
